Nicky Collins
Nicky advises some of the world’s most prominent companies on a full range of competition law matters in India, with a particular focus on technology markets and deep expertise in the highly technical sphere of merger control. His experience includes representing Meta (formerly Facebook) and WhatsApp in the Competition Commission of India’s investigation into WhatsApp’s 2021 privacy policy—one of the first major Indian cases to frame privacy as a competition issue—as well as advising Meta on its USD 5.7 billion investment in Jio Platforms Limited. He has also represented Intel in the CCI’s investigation into its warranty policy for boxed microprocessors and has advised clients such as Indorama, Blackstone, Temasek, and Broad Peak in securing CCI merger approvals across various transactions.
Nicky graduated from the prestigious National Law School of India University, Bangalore, and is a strong advocate of AI adoption in legal practice, having played a prominent role in driving AI integration within C&M.
