Avinash is a partner at C&M keenly working with clients on sensitive and complex competition and disputes issues including abuse of dominance, vertical agreements, cartels, Supreme Court litigation, commercial disputes, and insolvency issues.
Drawing on a decade of diverse experience at law firms, senior counsel and independent practice, Avinash provides holistic and practical advice to clients that balances business considerations with regulatory constraints.
On the competition side, Avinash has successfully defended several leading businesses such as TransUnion CIBIL, Cipla, Great Eastern Energy Corporation Limited and Escorts Limited from abuse of dominance, vertical agreements and cartel allegations. Avinash has represented Fortune 500 clients in cross-border transactions requiring complex remedies.
On the disputes side, Avinash is an Advocate-on-Record with the Supreme Court of India. He regularly appears and argues before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), and benches of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). Avinash has represented clients in complex regulatory and commercial issues. Avinash represented Reliance Jio before the Supreme Court of India in litigation involving issues of regulatory overlap between the telecom regulator and the CCI.
