Niruphama has more than 14 years of experience in capital markets transactions including offerings of equity shares by corporates in India and offering of units by infrastructure investment trusts and real estate investment trusts. She has advised investment banks, commercial banks and Indian corporate clients in the areas of capital markets and securities law and has experience in various equity offerings such as initial public offering, qualified institutions placement and rights and in debt offerings. Niruphama has also led elaborate due diligence investigations for clients involved in the sectors of retail, manufacturing, specialty chemicals, information technology, banking, energy, logistics and infrastructure.

Her experience includes General Corporate issues relating to compliance with the requirements of the laws issued by the various regulators in India including Ministry of Corporate Affairs and the Securities and Exchange Board of India in relation to corporate restructuring, takeover and insider trading regulations.

A graduate of NALSAR and a postgraduate from the New York University School of Law, her last assignment was a partner with the capital markets team in JSA and previously she was with capital markets teams at AZB & Partners, S&R Associates, Amarchand Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co.
