Pooja is the managing partner at C&M with over 20 years of experience, she leads the firm's Restructuring & Insolvency practice group which includes advising clients on restructuring, both within and outside the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Pooja represents both creditors and debtors in insolvency proceedings and routinely advises resolution professionals and liquidators of a number of companies. She also actively advices on investment in distressed assets. Pooja routinely appears and argues before Indian bankruptcy tribunals such as the NCLT and NCLAT as well as the Supreme Court of India in various insolvency and liquidation proceedings.

 

Pooja has a distinction in Bachelor in Civil Law from the University of Oxford.

Pooja has previously worked  at Amarchand Mangaldas Suresh A. Shroff & Co, where she was also a partner in the Corporate Practice Group.

Pooja has received recognitions as one of Top 100 Women in Litigation 2024 & ‘Litigation Star’ by Benchmark Litigation, for her work by Asian Legal Business as one of the Top 50 lawyers in India, Legal Era magazine as one of their leading “40 under 40” lawyers in India and has received ranking in Chambers & Partners and considered ‘Highly Regarded lawyer - Restructuring and Insolvency and Corporate M&A by IFLR1000.   • She has extensively acted on seven (7) major Indorama group acquisitions in India.

  • End to end legal advisory services to the resolution professionals (RPs) and liquidators of several companies including the RPs/ liquidators of Asian Colour Coated Limited, Ricoh India Limited, Mandhana Industries Limited, Patna Highways Projects Limited, Sarga Hotels Limited, Reliance Broadcast Networks Limited, Asian Hotels (West) Limited, Innoventive Industries Limited.

  • Represented multiple creditors/ debtors in filing and defending insolvency petitions across various NCLTs, including ARCIL, Bank of Baroda, responsibility, Administrator of DHFL, Airtel, Emaar India.
