Competition Law - Quarterly Update: April-June 2024

The quarter from April to June 2024 witnessed significant changes in the Indian competition law landscape. On the regulatory front, public consultations on the draft Digital Competition Bill concluded in May 2024. The Competition Commission of India (CCI) overhauled its confidentiality regime through key procedural changes. 

 

The CCI, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) and various High Courts made decisions on key issues including preferential treatment, reduction in penalties and interest on penalty, to name a few.
