International Finances Services Centre Authority ("IFSCA") has issued a framework enabling ship leasing from Gujarat International Fin-Tec city ("GIFT"), India's First International Financial Services Centre ("IFSC") after successful implementation of aircraft leasing framework.
A welcome move for the growth of Indian shipping industry. With the increase in ship building and export of ships manufactured in India, implementation of a leasing framework will definitely boost the industry.
