Chandhiok & Mahajan successfully defended Indus Towers Limited before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court. The challenge concerned the extension of work awarded to Indus Towers by DMRC, on the ground that it was through direct nomination and allegedly violated the General Financial Rules, 2017.
Agreeing with our submissions, the Hon’ble Court upheld the extension, holding that it was a logical continuation of the existing contract and fell squarely within the Rule 194 exceptions of General Financial Rules, 2017.
This judgment is significant, as it reinforces the principle that direct nominations are valid in exceptional circumstances.
Congratulations to our team, comprising Mehul Parti, Ashwani Malhotra, Shivangi Bajpai, and Nancy Patel, for their exceptional work and dedicated efforts in handling this matter.
